The current UK foot-and-mouth crisis is affecting tourism, with much  of Britain's countryside cut off for fear of spreading the disease.         If you were planning on a visit to the British countryside, but are unsure where you're allowed to go, you can give the Ministry of Agriculture Food and Fisheries a call on 0845 050 4141 or click http://www.maff.gov.uk/animalh/diseases/fmd/default.htm

On 17th of March it's St Patrick's Day and the Chicago river will be  dyed green.  It is as they say 'a great day for the Irish' and in Chicago, anyone else who happens to be around.  All are welcome to the march  assembling at 11 a.m. on Dearborn St. just two blocks north of the Chicago River.

BMI, perhaps better known as British Midland, is to launch an Edinburgh-Brussels route on 25 March. The airline will operate three flights per day between the cities weekdays and twice daily at the weekend, using an ERJ 145 in a two class layout. The airline now offers seven destinations from Edinburgh. http://www.britishmidland.co.uk

Hyde Park Corner's Wellington Arch is opening to the public for the first time on 4th April.  It offers a bird's-eye view of London, and is available for corporate events as well.
The Arch was formerly Britain's smallest police station, but now it boasts an exhibition on the Arch, Marble Arch and London's memorials, as well as a shop.
