WILDLIFE ADVENTURES AT SEA WITH BRITTANY FERRIES AND ORCA.
Brittany Ferries’ has joined forces with leading marine conservation charity ORCA to offer passengers a fascinating insight into the whales and dolphins of the Bay of Biscay - one of the world’s most important habitats for these amazing animals. ORCA’s wildlife education officers will be on board Brittany Ferries’ flagship Pont Aven twice-weekly service linking Portsmouth and Plymouth to Santander in Spain. They will be on hand to help passengers make sightings of whales and dolphins and identify any animals encountered, they will also give fun and informative presentations about these highly complex and intelligent mammals

ALBUQUERQUE INTERNATIONAL BALLOON FIESTA.

From October 3-11, 2009 spectators can witness more than 600 hot air balloons in the sky at a time at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, the world’s largest hot air balloon festival. This magical event is considered to be the most photographed event in the world, drawing a huge international crowd of balloonists and spectators.

NY’ STATUE OF LIBERTY WELCOMES AGAIN
The Statue of Liberty in New York reopened on the 4th of July.

It has been closed since the 11 Sep 2001 attacks for safety and security reasons. The reopening will see upgrades to the handrails on the staircase, and improvements on Ellis Island’s crumbling seawall as well as staff available throughout the Statue to aid visitors. The Statue will be open for two years, after which it will be “closed again for work on a long-term solution that will further improve safety.

Barcelona’s talking, yellow sightseeing cars will be giving visitors a chance to see even more of the famous Catalan city this summer. VIENNA OPEN-AIR OPERATIC DELIGHTS
The city of music has a new attraction – for the first time selected performances will be broadcast live on a giant screen in front of the State Opera House.
The new attraction for friends of the Vienna State Opera is called Oper live am Platz. Around 60 opera and ballet performances are being shown at a series of free open-air broadcasts on Herbert-von-Karajan-Platz next to the Opera House until end of this year.

For the first time in years, ABQ has a regularly scheduled city tour. TETHERED BALLOON AT DISNEY
A new attraction is being introduced at Walt Disney World in Florida.

'The Characters in Flight' Operated by Aerophile, the attraction, in the Downtown Disney area, is a giant tethered balloon, which rises 400 feet in the air, carries up to 30 people in its gondola and provides them a view of the sprawling Disney park.
